The house

I

Let whole, to one party

Villa Donna Camilla is let on an exclusive-use basis: the house, the gardens, the vineyard, the olive groves and the pool, with nobody else on the property while you are here.

Eight bedrooms sleep sixteen, over four levels. Every one of them is air-conditioned, and that is included rather than metered.

IV

Eight bedrooms, four levels, one lift short

The house is arranged the way nineteenth-century Tuscan villas are: a bedroom on the ground floor for whoever would rather not climb, three suites on the first, the family rooms on the second, and the tower above that.

There is no lift, and the tower is reached by a glass staircase — worth knowing before you allocate the rooms. Everything else is level, generous and shuttered.

The bathrooms

A bathroom in travertine with a bath and panelled doors

Questions we are asked

Can we rent part of the house?

No. Villa Donna Camilla is let whole, to one party, with the gardens, the vineyard and the pool to yourselves.

How many does it sleep?

Sixteen across eight bedrooms, including three suites on the first floor and one in the tower.

Is the pool safe for children?

The whole property is fenced and gated, and the pool sits away from the house rather than at the door. It has steps into the water rather than a ladder.

Is there really a gym?

Yes — Technogym equipment in the top of the old tower, with a terrace off it.

Is it air conditioned?

Every bedroom, included in the stay.
